Description
Outsource is looking for a Safety Coordinator for an 8-10 week long contract position in San Antonio. Position could end up going longer. If you are interested please reply immediately as interviews are currently underway. Must be able to work a rotating schedule (one week on days and one week on swing/nights). Schedule is Monday-Saturday.

Position Overview
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures aligned with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Deliver safety training programs and educate employees on best practices and compliance requirements.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare, maintain, and update safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Stay current with OSHA and other regulatory requirements and ensure organizational adherence.
- Coordinate and oversee emergency preparedness drills and response plans.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage employee engagement in safety initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related concerns, questions, and guidance.
- Monitor, track, and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist with safety program budgeting and resource planning.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certification (OSHA 30 required).
- Data center experience.
- Proven experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety compliance.
- Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective safety training sessions.
- Experience with safety management systems and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence a safety-first culture.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain effective under pressure.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
Minimum Requirements (Alternative to Degree)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant hands-on experience in safety coordination or a related field
